What happens at The Cottage stays at The Cottage.
The Cottage downloads artwork from a public catalog and keeps the packs you add on your device. It has no accounts and no servers of its own, and it doesn’t collect information about you.

Where the artwork comes from
The artist catalog and artwork are published in a public GitHub repository. The app downloads the catalog when it opens (at most once an hour, or when you pull to refresh), and downloads artwork when you view or add a pack. These requests go to GitHub. They contain no account, name, or identifier from The Cottage.
What GitHub receives
Like any website, GitHub’s servers receive standard connection details, such as your IP address and device type, to deliver the files. Lantea does not receive or store this information. GitHub’s handling of it is covered by the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Information stored on your device
The Cottage stores a copy of the latest catalog, the sticker packs and wallpapers you add, cached preview images, and a note that you’ve opened the app before. Nothing else is saved, and none of it leaves your device.
Messages
The Messages extension reads the packs you’ve added so you can send them. It cannot read your conversations, contacts, or messages. Stickers you send are delivered by Apple’s Messages app under Apple’s policies.
Sharing and saving images
When you share or save an image, iOS shows its own share sheet and you choose where it goes. The Cottage does not see or keep a record of what you share.
Your controls and deletion
Remove any pack from the Library to delete its files. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. Artwork withdrawn from the catalog is removed from the app the next time it updates. Copies you have already sent or saved elsewhere are not affected.
No sale, ads, or profiling
The Cottage has nothing to sell and no one to tell. It does not use advertising, ad measurement, cross-app tracking, profiling, or analytics, and it contains no third-party tracking code.
Children
The Cottage does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. Artwork is reviewed before it is published to keep the catalog suitable for all ages.
Apple services and backups
Apple handles App Store distribution. Depending on your settings, Apple may include app data in device backups. Those services are governed by your settings and Apple’s policies; The Cottage does not operate them.
Support and policy changes
If you contact support, Lantea receives only what you choose to send so we can respond. Artwork concerns and takedown requests can also be raised on the project’s GitHub page. If this policy changes, the date above will change with it.
